The Merlot Suite

This second floor Bed & Breakfast Inn room features a large window facing the backyard. Its bedroom and bathroom were totally renovated and completed April 2014. The bedroom has a beautiful view of the herb and edible flower garden, with low stone walls and stone pathways framing a slate terrace and original brick smokehouse.

The room has a new bedroom furniture and wall furnishings, a ceiling fan, and curtains to keep out the morning light for the late sleeper. The bathroom has a long curved wall and 10-foot high ceiling with a heated mosaic tile floor, large shower with body sprays and stone bench, and a large custom granite vanity crafted by a local cabinetmaker.

The Merlot Suite has a different design. To be respectful to the guests experience in the bedroom, a view and extra privacy, guests enter their bedroom by first going through their bathroom.   This allowed the beautiful window and view to be appreciated from your bed. Extra attention was given to the bathroom to hide the toilet with a pony wall and the shower tucked back into its own space and a curved wallpapered wall and locally crafted oak vanity to imitate a foyer. The chandeliers and plank tiled floor in the bathroom give it a formal appearance. We hope you agree.

This room includes a Sony TV with cable, AC, ceiling fan, and comfy recliner.

Wifi is not available from the bedroom but guests can access it on the lower floor living room and dining room.
