Our historic Inn offers eight relaxing guest rooms and suites
located in two buildings, The Inn and the Potter House, both filled
with period antiques, fireplaces, pillow-top beds, fine linens, and
many guest amenities.
The newly renovated Potter House has two spacious suites
with fireplaces, wet bar, sitting rooms, and soothing private baths.
The Inn has a large dining and sitting room for entertaining and
private parties. A slate patio between the Potter House and The Inn
provides the space for a small event or party.
An organic, local, gourmet breakfast is generously served at our
antique Empire walnut table by the fireplace in our dining room or in
the garden room overlooking our 1/2 acre of formal perennial and annual
flower beds and herb gardens.
Ithaca College and Cornell University are a quick 15 minutes from our bed & breakfast inn. We are also close to Watkins Glen,
many wineries, theaters, delicious home-grown restaurants, and of
course, the beautiful waterfalls for which the Ithaca-Trumansburg
region is known. VisitIthaca.com has a full list of wine trails, festivals, and Finger Lakes visitor information.
Come experience what Cayuga Lake, Finger Lakes New York, Trumansburg,
Ithaca, and The Inn at Gothic Eves have to offer! Book one of our
B&B inn rooms and enjoy Upstate New York accommodations the way
they were meant to be!

News
from the Inn: What a great Summer this has been. We had a little heat wave last week but we are back to our normal NY weather, not humid, breezy, warm during the day and cool in the evening. Grassroots Festival of Music and Dance has ended and our guests had a great time. Tara Nevins from the Donna the Buffalo Band and her own Heartbeat Band stayed with us and we were treated by two jamming sessions last weekend. Acoustic music, harmonizing voices, and passionate performers, it does not get much better than that and some of our other guests caught their act in a living room and others found them on the front porch. This was rare event and will not be forgotten.
Things to do: Atwater Winery on Seneca Lake is starting their Vine Dining this Sunday and they will continue throughout the Fall. If you are not familiar with this kind of dining, let me explain. If you can imagine a long table set with linens, place settings for 16 people, flowers, tall wine glasses and menus, set up in a vineyard, overlooking Seneca Lake, then this is the scene at Atwater Winery for Vine Dining. Chef Sam from Simply Red Lakeside Bistro takes Sundays off from her bistro to serve up a 5 course meal from her makeshift kitchen in the vineyard. The staff from Atwater winery also join you for dinner to give details about the wine and how it was made. Details and reservations can be found on the Atwater winery website.
Family News: Rachel is off at Brown University for a pre-college science program for 3 weeks. So far, she is doing well and has already made some friends. Rachel has gone away to visit family and friends many times but this was her first time going somewhere she did not know anyone. She has adjusted very well and we anxiously await her stories from Providence, RI. Anna has taken over Roman's position in the kitchen while she is home and we are enjoying our time together catching up with her stories from Thailand and mine from all the time she missed here. I am surprised how easy it has been for her to transition into the kitchen. When she was younger, she did not show any passion for it.
